Meltrace Ltd

Meltrace Ltd was founded in 1975 by Roger & Barbara Mellor and was based near Ilkley, West Yorkshire. It was originally a franchisee company using Electrolocation equipment to provide buried utility surveying services to the construction & civil engineering industries across Scotland & the North of England. As the business expanded, Steve Mellor joined the company and the company undertook training in the Middle East and utility surveys for UK companies such as Tarmac, William Press, British Steel & ICI to name a few.

 

Electrolocation became Radiodetection & Meltrace Ltd became a very close partner, helping to develop & test new products whilst also using them daily in the utility surveying industry. Meltrace Ltd went onto become the Northern sales outlet for Radiodetection and hold the accolade of selling the 10,000th CAT that Radiodetection produced.
